I would choose Nvidia 6800 over Ati X800
Can you imagine paying $500 for an ATI video card and not having stable operating system because of flaws in the video card driver? What reliablity issues? Nobody is perfect. People with Nvidia cards have failures, driver issues and incompatibilties as well. So your point about video drivers is bunk.

Diamond horrible OS/2 support...moving to ATI
For the first six months everything was fine, well, if you call having way too much trouble getting the drivers to install fine. I don't know if they have OS/2 drivers for their addon card but they aren't using Win95 beta drivers, they are working on NT drivers and it didn't cost anything near what I've spent.

Why are there so many nvidia drivers released, so often ?
For example, the Stealth24's most current Win3.11 driver (posted close to two years ago) is beta implying that Diamond is aware that there are still problems with the driver. If you look into it, you'll find that many people who are still using Win3.11 with a Diamond card still are having problems that continue to

About to Get Rage Fury -- How is the DVD Playback Quality?
So I call again, the next day and I get "Well I have these new beta drivers (2070) that should work." After putting them in at least the machine works but I still have the "swimming" Because nobody will admit it's their fault. It just seems funny that all of the rush cards seem to be having similar problems.

ATI has bad drivers? HAH!
Running
beta drivers is chance-taking, sure. I'll agree to that. However, what made you think I was "whining"? I was stating facts, nothing else. I too have played several movies and music video titles on my Rage Fury with DVD 3.1 and I also use ATI-TV Wonder and love it too! My advice for a proper driver to use on your Rage Fury to get good results with DVD, TV, and 3D games is to use the Lightspeed 2000 BETA driver from www.lightspeed2000.com.

That's right nVidia...kick 'em while they're down..hehe
I've been having trouble with my new XPERT 2000 running underwindows 2000. It locks up once or twice a day for no apparent reason. I assumed it was the beta drivers I had gotten from the ATI site and lived with it. However, I just tried installing a fresh copy of Windows 2000 and ran into blue screens and A screen

THE MPEG-FAQ [Version 3.0]
Steve said, I too, am having the same problem. I remember how hard it was to get the update from MMC6.0 to 6.2 from ATI. The thread started out asking about experiences with the Win2K beta drivers. Then it went right to a the lack of the very important 352 capture size and other VCD issues.

And maybe if you would give out beta drivers.... you wouldn't be having such horrible problems with such CPU configurations to begin with. Nobody who matters is actually creating games for OpenGL's "platforms". We don't CARE if it runs on Linux! It really is that simple. I don't understand why you think that having the "option" of using newer, beta drivers is a bad thing when you can always go back to earlier drivers. .... Personally I like the leaks, I'm using the 10.80s at the moment and I find them to be performing quite well. I'd be sad to see them go, but I totally understand
